At Somervale the safety of our students is at the forefront of our processes at all times. With this in mind we have set up this page to provide our parents and carers with a place they can go to get information about our procedures and information about Safeguarding.
We endeavour to educate all our students on how to keep themselves safe through our carefully planned PSHE lessons, regular assemblies on a range of related issues and students view their tutor as a trusted adult and source of advice where necessary.
Sexual violence and sexual harassment is not acceptable at Somervale School and will not be tolerated and we will challenge behaviour that is criminal in nature.
Maliciously reporting and false claims can take away from those who genuinely need the support and belittles the real issues.
Our provision is always under review and responds to new or growing national and local concerns as appropriate.
