Somervale is a friendly, exciting and forward looking school. Our small school setting ensures that every child is known, valued and experiences a truly personalised curriculum. Staff and students work hard together to achieve high standards. At Somervale we are committed to providing inspirational education in an environment with a strong, inclusive ethos.

I am extremely proud to be Headteacher of Somervale School, particularly as it has improved so much over recent years. Examination results have hit record levels and are consistently above national averages. Our recent OFSTED inspection in January 2013 rightly praised the school for its excellent outcomes at GCSE, outstanding behaviour and first rate teaching. Our students are of course, our greatest resource and an absolute pleasure to work with. By being part of this excellent school they continue to thrive after their primary education with the majority eventually progressing to the Sixth Form and then on to university. We enjoy incredible support from parents and carers and value their ideas highly. This atmosphere of collaboration between school, students, parents and the local community is what makes Somervale so unique.
