The PTA has several main objectives:
• to help encourage and develop the many extra-curricular activities that are available for pupils through helping with fund raising.
• To support school events e.g. through the sale of refreshments.
• to raise special funds which may be used for Major School Projects, to provide for such needs of the School as are not covered by the school budget from the Local Authority. Such funds are controlled by a Parent-Teacher Association Committee.
• to enable the Headteacher and staff to obtain from time to time the advice of parents on certain aspects of school life. This has an impact on school policies and may result in the P.T.A. helping to organise special information evenings on school issues. Thus the PTA helps organise a varied programme of educational and social events throughout the school year.
Offers of help for the PTA are always welcome, especially from parents new to the school. All parents are invited to become members of the PTA committee.
